Day 239: Red carpet treatment

What to photograph on a rainy day.... Most of the leaves have gone from the trees thanks to the recent chilly and blustery weather. Not that it matters on a day like today: leaves-on-trees photos don't look too good as the contrast is too low. But leaves on the ground is a different matter. I stumbled upon a patch of ground where maple leaves were laid down like a huge red carpet, obscuring the trail completely. Now that's overwhelmingly red :-)
